FINE ARTS FESTIVAL
Fine Arts Festival is a ministry that allows students to discover and develop their artistic gifts. Students may present or submit entries into various divisions of art, such as Communication, Drama, Exhibition, Instrumental, Vocal, and Writing.
We believe the world is changing and moving to a more arts-dominant culture, with media being the driving force. We believe it is our job to develop Christian Creatives to help shape the culture of the arts. We are doing that through Fine Arts in helping students in Ohio to discover, develop, and deploy their gifts in the arts.
Want to get involved? You can view and download the 2025 National Fine Arts rulebook below to see the hundreds of categories we have available to participate in. Please make sure to read the first few pages & read the general rules that apply to all categories.
FINE ARTS 2025 RULEBOOK
Fine Arts Festival (FAF) participants must read and abide by this 2025 Fine Arts Festival Rule Book. It is the responsibility of each participant to be familiar with the rules and procedures of this festival. No other person may be held responsible for a participant’s lack of information.
Page 8 shows explicitly what is new for 2025.
“Fine Arts Festival is a discipleship tool of Assemblies of God Youth Ministries (AGYM) designed to help students discover, develop, and deploy their ministry gifts.
Although competitive elements are present, providing a competition venue is not the primary mission of the Fine Arts Festival. Through Fine Arts Festival, students are given the opportunity to have their skills evaluated by qualified ministers, industry professionals, and educators who encourage excellence, offer ideas for improvement, and inspire students to use their gifts in the local church, community, and around the world in ministry or secular vocation. Scores are not as important as how students are developed through the Fine Arts process by practicing, preparing, and participating in this ministry.”

IMPORTANT DATES
Saturday, March 1st: All writing and video submissions must be submitted. You can find the link to submit below.
Saturday, March 1st: All registrations must be entered using Brushfire (link below). Due to the logistical building of the schedule, no registrations will be accepted after this date.
August 4th-8th: National Youth Conference/National Fine Arts Festival We want every Ohio Fine Arts participant to attend the National Youth Conference. If you advance to Nationals by receiving Superior with Invitation at the state level, you can also sign up to participate at NFAF. However, you do not have to advance (or even participate at the state level) to attend the National Youth Conference/National Fine Arts Festival. For 2025, NFAF will take place in ORLANDO, FL!
STEPS TO REGISTER
We use the same registration platform as the National Office, Brushfire. Whether you are the youth pastor/group leader or a parent registering your student(s), check out the following steps to help!
-
GROUP LEADER: Fill out the group registration on Brushfire from the link below by clicking “group registration.” You will create a unique group name and passcode for your church group.
PARENTS: Get the group name and passcode from your Group Leader before starting the registration process on Brushfire.
-
GROUP LEADER: There are two options to register your students:
Pass out the group name and code that you created in Brushfire to your students and parents which will allow them to register with your church. They will use these to register and pay for themselves.
You can give your students a copy of this paper registration, have them fill it out and turn it back into you, and then you register all of your students on Brushfire. This is what OYM prefers because you would help us catch spelling errors, group name errors, participant errors, etc.
PARENTS: Check with your group leader to see if they want you to register your students or not. If you are click the registration button below and enter your group name and passcode. You will then be able to register for all the categories you plan to enter and will automatically be grouped with your church at registration.
-
Make sure your student(s) are familiar with the 2025 National Fine Arts Rulebook so they are well informed of the expectations of the categories that they choose to participate in. Getting points deducted can be very avoidable if you are aware of all of the category requirements. We recommend doing this yearly since the national office revises the rule book annually. We encourage you to read the first few pages to understand the general rules and the equipment provided.
-
GROUP LEADER: Set time aside for your students to practice their entries together. OYM even has created Fine Arts devotional videos for you to play before practices. You can find those here. Also consider inviting in mentors to enrich this process even more.
PARENTS: Set aside time to practice and prepare your Fine Arts presentations. All digital and writing entries must be submitted at the link on this page before March 1st.

The registration fee covers your admission to the entire festival but does not include any categories. Each category is $15 additional.

WE CAN’T DO THIS WITHOUT YOU!
Ohio Fine Arts Festival is an annual event that is passionate about developing students and leaders and creating an environment that allows them to encounter Jesus. FAF thrives on volunteers & evaluators, those who take great pleasure in serving others. If that’s you, we would love to have you join us!
Evaluators: Evaluators are individuals who have mastered a fine art and have the heart to see students grow closer in their God-given giftings. You would be responsible for evaluating presentations and giving constructive feedback that would allow a student to develop their gift. Most evaluators are only needed on the Friday of the festival
Volunteers: We need TONS of volunteers to make FAF happen! Some potential spots to volunteer are being an emcee, a runner, a door monitor, or even assisting in the tabulation room! Most volunteers are only needed on the Friday of the festival.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Ohio Fine Arts Festival’s driving force is that students would encounter God. Whether through Fine Arts presentations, dynamic workshops, messages by Ohio’s best speakers, or in a time of intimate worship, we strive for every student to have a personal moment with Christ. Check out our recap video!

Our incredible Fine Arts team is passionate about how Fine Arts can be used to grow and disciple your teens in their relationship with Christ. One practical thing that your youth group can do is allow time during your group practices and time together to do a simple devotion and pray together. Saying that we have made 8 devotionals for you to play for your students during Fine Arts practice and 3 questions at the end of every video to ignite conversation!
Elevate your presence and reach your target audience by securing an exhibitor table at our Ohio Fine Arts Festival. By doing so, you will gain valuable exposure, connect with potential customers, and showcase your products or services to the students of Ohio.
